Time for a little dramatic music.

Think of the suspense like pauses before the winners and losers are announced in the whole X Factor stylee competitions.

Dramatic pause.

The secret to a successful business is THERE IS NO BLOOMIN SECRET!!!

If you wanted to really push me then there are certainly foundations to build from but secrets suggests that the business will be built using a set of rules and that simply isn’t the case.  There’s not a one size fits all solution or a cookie cutter approach to building that there business.

Let’s look at the foundations..

Know What Your Mission Is

The mission is massive (it might feel that way although I mean in terms of it’s importance).  You need to define down why you do what you do.  What is it all about?  What skills do you bring forward to the work you do?  Why do you love it?  What is it that really lights you up (on the inside)?  Get a grip of this stuff and it will really serve you in all you do.  When your mission is bigger than your fear then anything is possible, you can smash through anything that’s holding you back because the mission can’t be left and neglected.

Who Do You Serve?

I kinda look at the whole ideal client concept a little differently because it kept me stuck for an absolute age.  Check out this post >>click here and this post >>click here for some more details.

Serve The Pants Off Them

When you come from a place of service then everything else starts to make sense.  Serving the pants off your crowd allows you to start to create a community.  A community that knows you, likes you and trusts you.  A community who is interested in what you do and your “stuff.”  A community who will become your purchasers, your cheerleaders and your sanity in business.  I bloody love my Rockstar Community and each and every one of them mean so much to me.  From those who like my Social Media profiles and get involved with posts and videos, my mailing list of people who receive my weekly musings and my Rockstar clients who totes rock 🙂 I’m a lucky bunny.

I love this quote….

A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business ~ Henry Ford

Enough said!

Sounds simplistic, right?! It is as soon as you stop making it so complicated.  Yes, there are layers of strategy that can be added on top of that but those are the absolute foundations of any business.
